MALMØ features the unique voice and song-writing of Maria Malmoe.

Earlier releases and immersive live performances across Europe have seen her likened to Agnes Obel, Eivør and Björk. With Maria’s sister Frida sharing co-vocals, this short, sharp slab of alt-pop exudes gorgeous sibling vocal interplay.

The song was inspired by the acceleration of our move from the natural to the artificial:

“We knowingly consume micro-plastics. We spread toxins to make plants grow more quickly. We take pills to keep ourselves healthy. The artificial world is becoming part of us, as we cast aside what nature provides. It won’t be long now … The Inevitable End."

The Inevitable End is not an album of doom. It is vibrating with life – in whispered vocals, ominous beats, beautiful harmonies. It is artistically and musically a work that moves - a strong and hopeful call to action.
